As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Handle the washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing with attention to detail and quality.

• Maintain and manage the hotel staff uniforms, ensuring they are clean, pressed, and in good condition. Distribute uniforms to staff members as needed.

• Track and monitor laundry and uniform inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels of linens, uniforms, and other laundry supplies.

• Apply appropriate stain removal techniques to ensure that all items are cleaned to the highest standards.

• Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and pressing machines, following the manufacturer’s instructions and safety protocols.

• Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage before returning them to their designated areas.

• Manage and record any lost and found items discovered in the laundry process, ensuring proper storage and return to guests or staff.

• Report any maintenance issues with laundry equipment or uniform items that require repair or replacement to the appropriate department.

• Provide excellent service to hotel guests by promptly attending to any special laundry requests or inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with hotel standards and health and safety regulations in the laundry and uniform areas.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel environment.

• Strong focus on detail to ensure all items are cleaned, pressed, and maintained to high standards.

• Familiarity with laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and pressing machines.

• Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and transporting laundry bags.

• Strong organizational skills to manage laundry and uniform inventories efficiently.

• Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication skills to interact with staff and guests professionally.

• Ability to work well with others and collaborate with different departments.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
