Job Description:

Infrastructure Engineer / Coordinator

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Infrastructure Engineer / Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to perform variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses for various infrastructure systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for managing the infrastructure works during construction stage.

  • Participate in developing the scope of infrastructure work, reports, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements.

  • Ensures all infrastructure works are comprehensive and in accordance with the local authorities’ requirements.

  • Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies in public meetings to support the client.

  • Provides necessary technical support and design review / audit services to project management team ensuring the correctness and quality of implementation of requirements.

  • Assists the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study.

  • ·Supports the project manager with the establishment of Project Design Management Plan, Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

  • Ensures client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.

  • Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.

  • Prepares technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.

  • Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.

  • Experience and familiarity with Dubai Local Authorities’ standards and requirements, and approval procedures.

  • Provides support in maintaining current and timely change orders associated with third party design consultants.

  • Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.

  • Monitors and reports to the project management on the progress of all project design and construction activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Construction Engineering .

  • Minimum 10 years of related field engineering experience with at least 5 years of Dubai in infrastructure project of roads, sewer, stormwater etc.

  • Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

  • Must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with third party client, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and DEWA, DM, RTA procedure and requirements.

  • Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.

  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Preferably an Arabic speaker.
