Serco Part Time Trainer/Course Developer in Virginia

Position Description

Serco has an outstanding opportunity for a Part-Time, On Call Trainer/Course Developer to deliver instructor-led training to staff for a federal agency that is headquartered in Washington, DC. This position is 100% remote.

This position is Part Time On Call and provides 20-25 hours of work per month, on average. US Citizenship is required for this position.

In this role, you will

  • Assist with curriculum development and the development and or revision of training materials

  • Assist with leading training courses on Microsoft Office Suite products (ie: Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel)

  • Translate doctrine into user documentation including: user guides, participant manuals, instructor manuals, quick reference cards, job aids, and desk references, etc.

  • Be familiar with instructional design concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan, accomplish goals, and improve processes

Qualifications

T o be successful in this role, you will have

  • US Citizenship

  • High School or equivant education

  • Ability to pass agency background check

  • Minimum 4 years of recent experience in the following:

  • producing technical documentation of user guides, participant manuals, quick reference cards, job aids, etc.

  • delivering virtual training via MS Teams and Zoom

  • conducting training on MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) software applications

  • applying formal instructional design methodologies to curriculum and development tasks

  • Excellent customer relations and professional interpersonal communication

  • Ability to travel up to 10% (infrequent)

Even better with:

  • Designing and/or developing training materials using MS Word Templates

  • Knowledge of Web Based Development (Adobe Captivate)

  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of MS Access
