This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. There is occasional weekend work and overtime when required. Formal job training is provided. Responsibilities Assembly of Equipment Complete introduction period in the Manufacturing Department to gain basic manufacturing skills Assemble and fit machine components with use of hand tools and power tools Drill, tap, cut, deburr, and clean metal and plastic components when necessary Read and interpret 3D drawings, electrical and pneumatic diagrams, and Bill of Materials lists Route wiring and piping and terminate connections within predetermined paths on machines Teardown & Cleaning of refurbished / off-rental equipment Disassemble previously utilized machines Evaluate parts for replacement, upgrade, or reconditioning Rebuild machine back to sellable condition Performance and Quality Testing Performance testing and quality checking of machines and tooling Diagnose and repair errors or malfunctions in machines when they arise Maintain a clean work environment Keep work area free from debris and trash Organize workspace Stock consumable items in work areas Assisting the Manufacturing Department when needed Perform various task to support manufacturing when required to hit production goals Moving machines with and without forklift Transport machines between buildings Maneuver machines around workshop floor Qualifications 2+ years Mechanical, Electrical, or otherwise technical training or related experience Knowledge of and ability to use basic hand tools and power tools such as drills and Dremel’s Reliable transportation to work Experience drafting or reading mechanical drawings Experience with electrical and pneumatic diagrams Ability to problem solve Ability to work well under pressure and make deadlines Good communication skills & positive attitude A strong desire to have a successful career in automation Forklift training / experience preferred Valid United States driver’s license and clean driving record required to drive company vehicles preferred but not required Formal Technical training in a related field, graduation from a technical / vocational high school preferred Able to pass a background check and drug test Physical Requirements Work in a climate-controlled factory Stand continuously for long periods of time and work behind a desk Wearing of safety clothing and equipment is required Able to kneel, bend, crouch and climb ladders to access various parts of a machine Physically able to stand / walk 8+ hours on the factory floor and lift at least 60 lbs.
