Position Overview

Housekeeping/ Laundry Aide’s essential functions help maintain a clean environment for residents and staff in accordance with Madison County policies and Federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Laundry: The laundry aide handles, folds, sorts, st ores , processes and transports laundry and linen throughout the facility so that sufficient supplies are available to meet the resident’s needs . Laundry services are provided i n accord with facility policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations to enhance resident comfort and enhance the quality of life.

  • Housekeeping: The housekeeping aide provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Housekeeping services provided are in accord with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents .

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities -

  • Must be self- motivated and cooperative, have appositive attitude, be able to perform under minimum supervision and dress appropriately for the position.

  • Must have general knowledge of cleaning and laundry work.

Physical Requirements

Education Requirements

This job requires education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Prior Housekeeping/laundry experience.
