Job Location: Virginia Beach, VA Job Category: Engineering Technician IVJob Status: Full TimeJob Description: Q.E.D. SYSTEMS, INC., a local Marine Engineering firm has a future requirement for full-time position available for Engineering Technician IV to provide design, engineering, assembly, integration, installation, documentation, testing, maintenance, repair, training, and logistical support of the TWS, AN/SLQ-25 Nixie, AN/SLQ-61 LWT, and emergent SSTD systems.Applicant will be required to provide Fleet Support Services for the investigation/resolution of Fleet requested assistance for Casualty Reporting (CASREPS) and provide Fleet Technical Assistance for the systems identified above and provide appropriate technical reports at the conclusion.Applicant may be required to provide Ship Installation and Temporary Alteration Support.Job Requirements/skill sets: Have a detailed understanding of the systems identified above and ten years of sensor experience.Must be experienced and knowledgeable with; all facets of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).Understand the standard format of Navy Technical Manuals to include the Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Reports (TMDER) process.Have a basic understanding of the US Navy Planned Maintenance System (PMS).Have the ability to read and interpret various ship/system drawings.Have a basic understanding of National Stock Numbers and various supply forms.Must be able to troubleshoot and analyze system errors alone.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (WORD, EXCEL, etc,) required.Position may require up to 25% travel outside of the local area.A high school education and former Navy experience in is required.Applicant must be eligible for and maintain a Government Secret clearance.Drug screening is required before hiring.
