Vincennes University Director of Collegiate Athletics in VINCENNES, Indiana

Vincennes University is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. The successful candidate will lead our storied athletics program, overseeing nine sports teams and working closely with coaches, staff, and student-athletes to uphold a tradition of excellence in both athletic competition and academic achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Athletics Department in alignment with the University's mission and values.
  • Directly Supervises coaches and staff for VU athletic sports programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all NJCAA rules and regulations, including eligibility requirements, recruiting guidelines, and sportsmanship standards.
  • Develop and manage the Athletics Department budget, including fundraising efforts and revenue generation initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of academic success, personal development, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.
  • Collaborate with University administration, faculty, and staff to promote a positive student experience and enhance the overall campus community.
  • Represent Vincennes University Athletics in public forums, media appearances, and community events.
  • Report directly to the University President and provide regular updates on Athletics Department activities and initiatives.
  • In coordination with the University President and VU Foundation, lead fundraising efforts in support of athletic scholarships and operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Masters preferred.

Minimum of three years college coaching and/or athletics administration experience, preferably at the NJCAA Division I level.

Demonstrated knowledge of and compliance with NJCAA rules and regulations, including knowledge of determining and submitting NJCAA eligibility for student athletes.
