The Software Engineer-III designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.

Are you ready to revolutionize database? We're on the lookout for dynamic engineers to join our MV Application Server (MVAS) development team. MVAS, the fusion of an embedded database and a powerful development platform, brings together the best of traditional database management with the innovation and performance demanded by today’s applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will own different components of the product, according to project needs that correspond to your background and interests.

  • Your primary responsibilities are fixing customer issues and developing new features.

  • You will also be responsible for creating specifications and documentation for proof-of-concept, architecture, design, testing etc.

  • You have to have strong problem-solving skills and be good at debugging and troubleshooting issues.

  • You are expected to be a team player, domestically and internationally, who can identify opportunities and bring concerns to the team, and lead resolution efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.

  • Proficient in C/C++ debugging tools.

  • Proficiency in operating systems, encompassing memory management, process/thread management, network programming, file I/O, file systems, system libraries, APIs (POSIX), networking, and security.

  • Understanding of fundamental algorithms, including Searching, Sorting, and Hashing.

  • Familiarity with commonly used data structures such as Queue, Linked Lists, Hash Tables, and Trees.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background support in multi-value database

  • Experience in database kernel development. Proficiency in operating system kernel-level diagnostic tools, showcasing the ability to diagnose and locate complex issues at the OS kernel level.

  • In-depth knowledge of fundamental database concepts, covering ACID properties, indexing techniques, query optimization, execution plans, transactions, and concurrency control, particularly in the context of high availability and disaster recovery.

  • Capability in software architecture, with the ability to independently design and develop new features.

  • Understanding of compiler design principles.

  • Familiarity with other programming languages or technologies, such as Python, Java, HTTP protocols, client-server architecture, RPC, XML, and JSON
