We, at Mary Ann Industries, a Leggett & Platt company, are searching for a Maintenance Mechanic to work with our Villa Rica, GA team to help support our Flooring Products business. The cushion under your carpet is vital to your home’s comfort – that’s why Leggett & Platt’s carpet cushions provide luxurious comfort and support, along with enhanced carpet appearance and longevity. Carpet pad doesn’t get the marketplace attention it deserves. Few people talk about it. There just hasn’t been enough education on how quality carpet pad is the source behind the comfort and added durability in your carpeting. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives. As a maintenance mechanic your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring our facility’s machines are operating safely and efficiently. The team you will be working with is diverse and hardworking, and values a willingness to be a team player and learn.

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Mechanic?

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance. • Complete work orders as assigned in a timely manner.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• One year of industrial maintenance experience. • Ability to use power tools such as grinder, drill, saw, and drill press. • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and installing bearings, sprockets, and chains. • Ability to learn how to operate lift truck, scissor lift and aerial lifts; and eventually be certified. • Be detail oriented, well-organized, have good on-time attendance, and be self-motivated. • Must have own tools. • Fully support and participate in Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Continuous Improvement Programs.

Things we consider a plus, but not required:

• Previous experience operating a lift truck, scissor lift or aerial lift. • Electrical certification • Welding experience • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
