Job Title: Business Development Analyst

Job Location:Vienna, VA or Tampa, FL

Job Responsibilities:

Trace Systems is seeking a Business Development Analyst to join our Growth team! You will be part of the team responsible for driving new qualified business opportunities through the business development process in concert with our Solutions, Proposal, Operational, and Functional teams. Your work with these teams will involve the development of discriminating win strategies and value propositions from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal submission.

  • Grow the pipeline by identifying and qualifying opportunities.

  • Vet and champion opportunities throughout the Business Development Lifecycle (from identification to proposal submission).

  • Proactively monitor government and industry changes.

  • Gather market and competitive intelligence.

  • Establish and maintain customer engagements and industry partnerships.

  • Analyze and adjust new business forecasts to present the most accurate information.

  • Organize and lead Gate Reviews for new business opportunities.

  • Provide bid recommendations based upon research and analysis related to specific opportunities, competitor intelligence, and customer markets.

  • Develop and mature large and small industry partner relationships.

  • Develop and mature high-quality customer/stakeholder relationships.

  • Assist Capture efforts for specific opportunities.

  • Contribute to development of win themes, value propositions, competitive assessments, shaping strategy, teaming strategy, and position-to-win.

  • Contribute to the development of value added and discriminating solutions with competitive pricing structures.

  • Develop and present bid/no-bid recommendations to Executives, senior management, and opportunity stakeholders .

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Business Development, Capture Management, Sales-related and/or GovCon position(s).

  • Experience as value-added contributor in a dynamic and geographically dispersed team.

  • Experience utilizing SalesForce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Must be a US citizen, and eligible for a Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong research and communications skills.

  • Familiarity with Sam.Gov, GovWin, FPDS, and other government portals.

  • Demonstrated skills in communicating information to non-technical and technical customers, as well as how core technologies translate into customers’ critical capabilities.

  • Ability to contribute to development of compelling strategies.

  • Ability to collaboratively build and lead cross-functional capture teams.

  • Ability to effectively present and communicate with leadership in a manner that conveys confidence and engenders approval.

  • Proven analytical, reasoning, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Management, Information Technology, or related field.
