Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position ofFlagger / Asphalt Laborerbased out of Vienna, GA location. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Main Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Include, but not limited to)

  • Must have knowledge of the requirements of erecting and maintaining traffic control signs and other devices as prescribed in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

  • Must keep equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly at all times on the projects.

  • Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, setting up and removing traffic control devices, but also must be able to use good judgement in decision making and be able to work without direct supervision.

  • Must maintain a good attitude and be polite at all times to motorists.

  • Must have the ability to work safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

Skills, Qualifications & Competencies

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Flagger/Traffic Control Training Certificate (Preferred)

  • Driving License (Preferred).

  • Must have reliable transportation.
