Job Summary :

Support the manufacturing process by assembling components into finished goods in a highly repetitive and structured manner at the Vidalia, GA location.

Responsibilities :

  1. Works safely in accordance with the Safety Policies

  2. Repetitive assembly using easy hand tools to assemble part of a finished good in a quality manner.

  3. Load and unload items from conveyors and carts

  4. Build components used in the production process

  5. Ensure customer and quality system compliance in areas of responsibility by conducting quality checks/tests and examining products

  6. Support plant cost reductions and process improvement projects through the use of various lean methods and techniques

7. Participate in lean manufacturing as well as plant initiatives as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Ability to speak, read and write English, understand simple written or oral instructions

· Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Work any shift and work overtime as necessary to ensure production demands are realized

· Work multiple jobs both within and outside assigned work area

· Use all required safety gear and equipment

· Comply with all established Plant rules and policies

· Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Refer to Attendance & Punctuality Policy for complete guidelines

· Must follow dress code at all times

· Able to use power, pneumatic, and hand tools

· Able to work on various machines and presses

Physical Requirements :

· Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3’s of work shift

· Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assist

· Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day

· Reach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3’s of work shift

· Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day

· Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day

· Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions

· Basic visual requirements for precision work

· Moderate physical exertion
