Aerotek Aircraft Inspector in Victorville, California

Pay: $48 - $50 /hr

Contract Position with Boeing in Victorville, CA

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

As a leading global aerospace company, Boeing develops, manufactures and services commercial airplanes, defense products and space systems for customers in more than 150 countries.

JOB OVERVIEW:

  • Inspect aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight

  • Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

  • Use technical specifications, sketches, manuals, drawings, engineering instructions and FAA forms and publications to inspect work performed.

  • Inspect to the requirements of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters and other approved/accepted data.

  • Apply applicable mathematical calculations to setup and use precision measuring tools, to measure gaps, heights, angles, hole diameters and depths.

  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

  • Perform Quality functions such as: Customer/FAA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations.

SHIFT:

First shift - 5:30am - 2:00pm + weekends and OT

REQUIRED:

  • Min of 2 years experience with civilian (non military) Aircraft Inspection or Quality Control within an Aerospace Manufacturing environment

  • Experience with Commercial aircraft ideally B787

  • Being able to read blueprints, drawings: familiarity with it prior to the training.

  • Ability to pass complete and pass Boeing training

JOB TRAINING:

  • Job training will be at either the Charleston, SC or Everett, WA training facility and the training is mandatory

  • Training will be 4-5 weeks and they will be required to stay in the location for the full duration of their training
