Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead other officers in the performance of duties, i.e., patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of entrances, etc.
  • Investigate disturbances.
  • Answer questions and provide other information to guests as requested.
  • Escort employees with money banks from one destination to another.
  • Escort table fills from the cage to the table games area.
  • Check identification of any guest entering the casino to assure they are at least 21 years of age.
  • Write reports of any irregularities encountered while on duty such as equipment or property damage, theft, or any other unusual occurrences.
  • Circulate among guests to preserve order and protect property and guests.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The work environment consists of very demanding surroundings with a high noise level.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or bend and reach with arms and hands.  Must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

The employee is also required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Education / Training / Experience

 

High school diploma or equivalent; Experience in security preferred but not necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Work Permit issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission.
  • Current state issued driver's license.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
