This is a Math Tutor 4-8 position with a company in Vicksburg, Mississippi

Summary:  As a Math Tutor, your crucial role will impact the lives of many children and offer vital assistance to those who need extra help with basic math concepts. You will immerse yourself in a local school to support students in fourth through eighth grades. You'll help them succeed by providing extra practice and skill-building in groups of two to three students. With training and on-site coaching, you'll be prepared to empower students in their math journey. Your commitment during school hours throughout the academic year guarantees a significant impact.

 Duties & Responsibilities:  Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students build their skills and confidence. Track student progress and regularly meet with the school's on-site coach. Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software. Commit to your own growth as a tutor through coaching, training, and professional development. Represent Math Corps at school events and share your experience with the community to raise awareness.

Requirements and Qualifications[]{#Hlk142289191}[]{#Hlk142304825}: Dependable and have a history of good attendance. Able to understand and follow instructions. Open to making improvements based on feedback. Capable of setting a pace and maintain a schedule with students. Competent with basic computer skills (like email and navigating online). Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing. 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.  Able to successfully complete a background check.
