Ameristar Casino Casino Service Representative in Vicksburg, Mississippi
$500 Sign On Bonus *Daily Responsibilities include: * **
- Maintains a positive attitude at all times, supporting the policies of Senior Management of the Casino.
- Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
- This is a uniformed position, which requires that team member's are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
- Assure the securing of company funds, provide accurate and courteous guest service.
- Redeem coins/tokens, cash checks, and supply information to guests.
- Maintain and assure the proper routing of the department's paperwork.
- Responsible for the movement and protection of company funds. This includes repeated lifting up to 35 lb. and pushing/pulling 500 lb. cart.
- Maintain communication with all departments, Team Members and guests to ensure positive experiences.
- Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of questionable association.
- Be prepared to work in adverse conditions, over-time, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Obey the rules policies and procedures of Ameristar Casino Vicksburg and the department.
- Maintain uniform in order to present a neat, clean and professional appearance.
- May perform duties in any functional area of the Cage operations department, including but not limited to Cage banks.
- Provide an outlet of sales and redemption of coin and chips for internal and external guests (ex., general cashier, main bank, fill bank and jackpot/fill window).
- Maintain a neat, safe and organized work Ameristar.
- Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations of Ameristar Casino Vicksburg.
- Implement and maintain a working knowledge of the Ameristar Casino Vicksburg, System of Internal Controls and Star Service Standards as well as Federal Currency Transaction Reporting Laws as they pertain to casinos.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read, communicate, understand and write English
- Ability to work with interruptions
- Must have ten-key (calculator) skills
- Must have good communication and guest service skills
- Data entry/computer skills are required
- Must be mathematically inclined
- Money handling and organizational skills preferred.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour shift.
- Locations on casino floor are noisy and smoky.
- Will also encounter intoxicated guests frequently.
- Provide representation of department in specific project and company meetings.
- High School diploma, some college classes or degree preferred.
- Previous casino Cage or cash handling experience.
