Our vision for Integrated Diagnostics Solutions at BD

By aligning and simplifying our work, our Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business unit strives to drive growth and innovation around everything from integrated specimen management to diagnostic solutions.

About the role

You will be involved in sales, building and growing the current relationships in the various laboratories. Your contacts within these customers are diverse, from specialists such as medical microbiologists, molecular biologists, lab managers and other collaborators within these organizations, to your budget and sales of BD - IDS.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the teams of Sales, Marketing, Application, Middleware Specialists and Technical Services during the different phases of the sales cycle.

  • Handle customer implementation projects, as defined by the line manager, making the implementation a success.

  • Schedule visits and prioritize workload optimally and efficiently, in line with local tactics

  • Lead working within cross-functional BD-teams with effective, positive communication

  • Supervise and evaluate sales performance and activities applying the latest BD technologies.

  • Assimilate and retain product information and scientific data, and use this to support and convince medical and laboratory staff with success

About you:

  • Min. 3 years of sales experience

  • Bachelor degree in microbiology or equivalent

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English

  • Commercially driven: You combine technical and social skills to stimulate the business and customer experience

  • Able to build strong relationships with current clients and new contacts

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. You know well how to influence and empower the different levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Able to guide clients through a change process

  • Strong problem-solving (analytical) skills

  • Practical and action-oriented, proactive

  • A sparring partner, someone who can independently and in their own way take the creative lead in complex projects;
