NY1494196 - Executive Housekeeper (Full Time) <br> Job Purpose: Manage the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure quality standards are met while delivering a customer experience that is unique and superior to all other competitive hotels. <p>

Specific Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans. Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on increased productivity. <li>Maintain proper inventory levels managing cost per room for supplies and labor. <li>Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining "green" initiatives. <li>Responsible for the security of lost and found items throughout the hotel. </ul>

People: <ul> <li>Welcoming and warm personality, engages easily, actively connects with others, genuinely caring and compassionate, visibly demonstrates desire to understand others, creates confidence and trust with others. <li>Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance. <li>Educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties. <li>Will assist with cleaning on a day-to-day basis or during high-volume periods. </ul>

Guest Experience: <ul> <li>Manage the quality of housekeeping and laundry services. Schedule routine inspections of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, rooms, equipment, linens, public restrooms, lobby, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction. <li>Carry out special needs and requests of customers, VIPs, repeat visitors and frequent stay club members. Respond to customer complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete customer satisfaction. <li>Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. </ul>

Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager-on-duty. <p>

Safety Awareness: <ul> <li>Maintain safety by adhering to stated safety policies, responsible to report all accidents immediately. Support all safety programs. Proceed with caution when walking on slippery floors and in congested areas. Ensure that proper safety instruction is given before operating any equipment. <li>Properly use equipment provided by the hotel so we eliminate injuries and prevent accidents. <li>Uses Personal Protective Equipment as specified during training. </ul>

ACCOUNTABILITY: This job is the top housekeeping position within a full-service, select service or extended stay hotel. This position reports directly to the General Manager of the hotel. Typically supervises room attendants, laundry and lobby cleaner. May supervise other staff members during manager-on-duty shifts. Responsible for covering all shifts unattended by supervised staff. <p>

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: <br> Knowledge: High School Diploma/ secondary education/ equivalent plus four years housekeeping/laundry experience, preferably in a hotel of similar size, including supervisory experience. <br> Physical: While performing the requirements of this job, the associate is regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and talk and hear. Requires t e associate to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The associate is required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
