Brown Distributing Company, Inc. Specialty Beer Draft Technician in Vero Beach, Florida

Brown Distributing Company, Inc. is currently seeking a Specialty Beer Draft Technician to support our On-Premise Sales and Special Event Teams based out of Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast. This positions territory primarily consists from Palm City to Vero Beach. This is a fun relationship-driven business that requires a passion for beer, dedication, and exceptional servicing skills. Schedule:

Full time, Monday-Friday; 40-45 hours a week

Some weekend and nights required for special events

Compensation:

  • $13.00/hour + opportunity for overtime

  • $200/month Pay for Performance potential

  • $15/month Phone allowance

  • Company vehicle is included in this position

  • Provide efficient and timely servicing of assigned accounts to include but not limited to, the cleaning on beer lines, faucets, tri taps. Check all washers and all other areas

  • Survey every account for sales/distribution opportunities and communicate to area manager

  • Works to ensure a high level of service and accountability

Essential Functions

  • Maintain customer service ("line cleaning") sequence and frequency assigned by the Draught Manager.

  • Clean draught lines a minimum of every 2 weeks at each retail account.

  • Maintain our customers’ “clean” beer dispensing equipment by performing service calls as follows:

  • Disassemble and brush clean dispensing faucet, tap handle base and tavern head.

  • Flush coil with cleaning solution.

  • Replace any worn washer and gasket.

  • Before leaving customer, ensure draft dispensing equipment is fully operational.

  • Review each component of the draught service checklist during service call and obtain signed cleaning service form from the customer.

  • Post record of coil cleaning service to appropriate ledger.

  • Submit records pertaining to draught service call or sales daily.

  • Assist On-Premise department in the administration of any surveys or information requested.

  • Perform any additional duties which, from time to time, may be assigned by the On-Premise department.

  • Maintain appropriate appearance of company vehicle and any equipment which may be assigned.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A valid FL driver’s license is required with no negative points, no DUI convictions

  • Must be able to communicate comfortably with all customers

  • Previous experience in the beer industry a plus

  • Must be able to bend and kneel and reach with hands and arms consistently
