Reports to: Center Director and Director of Education General Summary: Responsible to the Center Director and the Director of Education for a variety of support activities. Candidates with admin experience working at an office/school with a College Degree. Please do not apply if you do not have prior experience working as an admin in an office setup.  Essential Job Functions: * Answer phones; take messages and handle/direct calls to directors * Managing calendars and ability to reschedule students after talking to parents and seeing what is available.  * Comfortable with technology - Slack / Google / MS Office / CRM / Education Management Systems etc.  * Record children’s attendance on master schedule * Prepare and file all children’s folders * Take apart children’s binders * File all testing materials * Check in and put away supplies * Assist in testing of children per instructions of director * Greet students and walk them to their tables each hour * Greet parents and attend to their needs * Walk students out after class * Accompany young students to washroom * Cleaning Responsibilities Perform nightly cleaning duties including but not limited to: * Wiping teaching tables * Clean glass doors * Vacuum center as needed * Straighten lobby area * Collect garbage and take to outside receptacle * Close and lock windows and close bottom blinds Teaching Materials * Pull teaching materials each hour * Put away teaching materials on a regular basis * Be available when teachers call Miscellaneous * Check center on a continuous basis and see that everything is put away including things from TA table * Regularly straighten math and Beginning reading materials * Sharpen pencils * Clean teacher draws and see that they are supplied * Complete special projects as indicated by director Professionalism * Arrives at work on a timely basis reading to begin duties. * Dresses professionally according to Sylvan dress code. * Makes an attempt to find a substitute when unable to come to work Schedule: * Part-time during weekdays and weekends based on center needs and your availability Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required PREFERRED - Candidates with admin experience working at an office/school with College Degree * Grades at passing level
