MASABA Mining Equipment Inventory Control Associate in VERMILLION, South Dakota

Job Description: Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, and supporting production and operational needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking and reconciling stock levels.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory cycle counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate orders to replenish stock as needed.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to manage incoming shipments and verify receipt of materials.
  • Collaborate with production, operations teams, and Quality to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and generate inventory reports for management review.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Issue and WIP parts for jobs.
  • WIP to Finish parts and assist accounting with closing jobs for each month end.
  • Assist procurement with standard and base level purchasing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required.
