Description We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Ventura, California, United States. You will be working in the telecom industry, with a focus on maintaining and improving financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reports and analysis. This role involves a broad range of accounting tasks, from preparing journal entries and general ledger operations to working with an ERP system, preferably QAD.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and posting of accurate journal entries

• Ensuring compliance with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP standards

• Regularly maintaining and updating the general ledger

• Preparing accurate financial reports and presenting them to management

• Performing financial analysis to support business decisions

• Working with the ERP system, preferably QAD, to streamline accounting functions

• Collaborating with different departments to improve financial processes

• Assisting in the preparation and coordination of the audit process

• Implementing best practices in accounting and financial reporting

• Using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling. Requirements • Proficiency in the application of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using QAD

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel usage

• Proficiency in the application and understanding of US GAAP

• Extensive experience in managing General Ledger

• Proven ability in preparing and maintaining Journal Entries

• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

• CPA certification is preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable

• Must have the ability to handle confidential information

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
