Job Description

Within the IT department of Safran Landing Systems, attached to SLS head office (Vélizy-Villacoublay) and reporting to the head of Competency Center Engineering Information Systems, as a real project leader, you coordinate internal and external actors to ensure the successful delivery of IT Engineering portfolio demands within IT digital roadmap, scope, quality, time and cost constraints.

Responsible of the portfolio demands management and their validation, you formalize expression of needs, challenge and manage project managers to deliver the solutions into production while respecting costs and delays.

As well, you lead and ensure communication and KPI reporting with business executive and managers.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Appropriate the methodology in place to be able to:

• Support the project managers in day to day activities

• Provide support to project teams on the production of deliverables

• Participate in the evolution of project methodologies. Be proactive in improving the processes in place (in compliance with SLS and central IT Department)

• Put in place a demands methodologies with business partnerships and IT teams

• Analyze existing deliverables and optimize them

  • Management of SLS IS Engineering demands Portfolio

• Be responsible for the updating and quality of information

• Animation of portfolio reviews

• Validation of "Gates" allowing the transition of the project to the next phase

• Definition and monitoring of KPIs

• Reporting, Dashboard and Communication at different management levels

• Identify the risks of IS projects & demands in your portfolio

  • Demand management

• Capacity Plan Arbitration Review

• Optimize answers by grouping / splitting some demands

  • Project quality assurance

• Quality audit of project deliverables

  • Outsourcer Follow-Up

• Monitoring and escalation of project requests with our outsourcer

Job Requirements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study

• 5+ years of experience in project management PMO missions

• Knowledge of project management methodologies and PMI, Prince 2, P3O, Managing Successful Programs, Agile, SCRUM, …

• ITIL Foundation

• 5+ years of experience working within a cross-functional matrix and international environment

• Competent with software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects and PPM tools

• Experience in IT project management and knowledge of the life cycle of an IT project

• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common objectives demonstrating teamwork

• Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving problems, making decisions and identifying priorities, proposal force

• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple organizations, facilitator

• Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and capacity to summarize

• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in an international and multicultural environment

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving

• Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and challenging demands

• Results Orientation (sets and accomplishes challenging goals, defines standards, takes calculated risks to achieve results)

• Fluent in English and French
