We are currently seeking an End User Specialist for the Central Canada region.

Job Summary

As an End User Specialist , you’ll educate, support, and build an ASSA ABLOY business relationship with targeted End-users, generating brand acceptance and sustainable sales growth throughout the region.

You’re a sales professional who enjoys relationship building and technical solution-selling within commercial construction and multiple vertical markets. You’ll concentrate on gaining approval for the products represented by Door Solutions Canada including architectural door hardware, electro-mechanical and hollow metal solutions. You’ll report directly to the Regional Director of Sales with primary focus on Government/Municipalities, Critical Infrastructure, Financial, Commercial/Industrial, Property Management and any other strategic channels within Central Ontario.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with our existing user base.

  • Manage a sales territory including developing all of our sales plans.

  • Sell opening solutions as a consultant using a communicative approach for a diverse audience including decision makers and influencers (locksmiths, facility managers, security, IT networking managers and executives)

  • Develop plans on how to establish account relationships and develop a business plan for each account resulting in increased sales.

  • Identify new product/business opportunities based on customer needs.

  • Establish a network of clients, developing relationships.

  • Produce and follow-up on quotations, leads and conducting frequent sales presentations.

  • Help develop a sales direction and market strategy.

  • Be responsive and attentive to all customer needs and help resolve any issues or concerns.

  • Provide one-on-one or group training.

  • Attend trade shows and travel.

  • Provide accurate activity reporting using available corporate reporting tools.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members with end-users, architects, distribution, channel partners and specification goals

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Your Education and Experience

  • Five (5) years sales experience, preferably in the door security or related industry

  • Post-secondary education in a related field

  • Experience selling opening solutions as a consultant.

    Your Key Competencies

  • Experienced with planning, selling, marketing, contract management, decision-making and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent negotiation skills with sales leadership qualities

  • Experienced with building business relationships with customers.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and identify sales opportunities, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues.

  • Listening skills: An ability to listen to and understand a customer's issues/needs and then translate this to action plan.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience working collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Experience with electromechanical hardware and hollow metal doors and frames are definite assets.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of sample and display material for sales presentations.

  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory up to 90% of the time.

  • Ability to travel across Canada and occasionally into the U.S. (for training & trade shows)

  • Valid drivers’ license in good standing
