KidsPeace Childrens Hospital PROGRAM AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR NC in VARINA, North Carolina

The Program and Staff Development Supervisor is responsible for the orientation, training, and development of KidsPeace associates in all programs and departments. The Program and Development Supervisor serves as a partner with program/department leadership in mentoring and development of new and veteran staff as well as participates in the implementation and auditing of program design within KidsPeace Programs.

Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.

Proven expertise in public speaking, training, and training development required.

Computer skills with experience in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Training experience preferred.

Ability to multitask.

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Valid driver's license required.

Training/Instruction: Design, develop and deliver ongoing and new relevant training programs for the organization. Provide in-class instruction as needed or required to meet department goals, including instructing all levels of current approved KidsPeace restraint methodologies and practices, as well as Ukeru Systems.

Mentoring/Performance Consultation: Work closely with leadership to orient new associates in the program setting, supervising the GAP competency development process and Cohort learning structure. Contribute to ongoing learning and development for all staff in program and department settings as needed and requested.

Competency Assessment and Development: Work closely with leadership to determine training and development needs for programs/departments and to implement tools to meet those needs. Insure that associates meet all required/mandated trainings and or training hours and keep up all certifications. Comply with specific requests for training/competency development as put forth by the organization or department.

Program Integrity: Partner with program leadership on the design, implementation, and on-going quality assessment of KidsPeace programs. Participate in the program integrity process and work with program leadership to ensure that current programming meets KidsPeace and all external regulations and expectations.

Projects/Assignments: Assist and help coordinate projects and administrative responsibilities consistent with the departmental or organizational staff development initiatives.

Regulations: Assist in assuring compliance with all regulatory, accrediting, licensing, legal and other operational authorizing bodies in the area of training and competency development. Participate in licensing reviews and accreditation processes as needed.

Organizational Contribution: Participation in corporate and interdepartmental committees as needed.

Quality Assurance: Help to assess quality assurance measures for KidsPeace training and development and assist in the development of ongoing measures and instruments to evaluate competency development effectiveness for the corporation.

Training Technology: Use available current technology and systems to ensure accurate entry of documentation, generate reports and access information. Maintain the intranet site to support all OD &T functions, including the KidsPeace Institute. Utilize technical systems such as INFOR, PowerPoint, Word, Office, Excel, Relias, Internet searches and Intranet maintenance and design.
