Eaton Corporation Validation Engineering Manager in Vantaa, Finland
Eaton´s new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, integrates all current activities into a much larger site. Campus is completed by the end of 2023, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs.
As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton’s expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

What you’ll do:
Your main responsibilities:
Lead and manage efficiently the Validation Engineering team
Guide and mentor colleagues globally on UPS design and testing
Recruit team members and enhance team proficiency
Coordinate daily testing activities and resources between projects and tests
Make test plans, resource plans including people, test bays and test equipment
Responsible of team’s job safety in R&D test labs together with Lead Safety Engineer
Give technical supervision and writing and reviewing test plans and specifications
Give technical support on UPS systems to product management, technical support, sales support, manufacturing and sales.
Qualifications:
Master/Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Strong professional expertise in testing, electrical design or equivalent field
Skills:
Solid understanding of electrical, power electronics environment and testing
Former experience as a People Manager or Project Manager
Fluency in English
