Amentum OCC Controller in Vandenberg AFB, California

Purpose and Scope:

Assist with and track the planning, coordinating, scheduling, and status (or a combination of these activities) of operational tasks in support of contract requirements. This is a Teamsters union represented position paying $39.88 per hour.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Successfully coordinates internal functions performed by all departments in the planning of their activities to meet project objectives.

  • Coordinate with the Operations Supervisor and Program Manager to plan the proposed effort and publish a daily schedule and monitor schedules to help assess impact of problems on project performance.

  • Assist Management and help develop corrective actions/recommendations to successfully coordinate and accomplish tasks.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience. Five years directly related scheduling and/or project control experience. Experience in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and scheduling tools. Strong communications skills, presentation, and technical writing ability. Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision. Great attention to detail. Valid driver's license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 80 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, stand for long periods performing filing and record storage duties, and must be able to work under deadlines.
