JOB SUMMARY

The essential job function of the Material Handler is to ensure production suites continue processing with no stoppage related to material or supply shortages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates lift truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from warehouse to storage or work area.

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform transactions using a scan gun for proper inventory control and management.

  • Ability to perform basic tasks within the site’s ERP system and WHMS.

  • Stages batched products to production suites for processing.

  • Performs routine checks with production suites to fill needed supplies for the production run.

  • Deliver Intermediate and Finished goods to warehouse for storage.

  • Responsible for performing daily inspection of lift truck or motorized equipment.

  • Properly handle the storage, inventory, and shipment of Controlled Substances in accordance with DEA regulations.

  • Prepares, handles and labels various hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials for disposal.

  • Maintains proper warehouse orderliness, cleanliness, and safety.

  • May be required to pull and sample incoming raw materials with minimal supervision.

  • Completes assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.

  • Upholds Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code

  • Acts as the company’s representative by showing respect and being ambassador for the established beliefs and behaviors of the Company.

  • Works in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.

  • Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency

  • 0-2 years material handling experience

  • Forklift certification a plus

  • Previous GMP experience a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.

Occasionally move items or equipment weighing up to 100 pounds – potential to handle heavier materials with mechanical assistance.

Occasionally required to climb ladders and/or steps to reach equipment.

Reading precision measuring equipment, machine dials, gages, and thermometers; must be able to observe fine details utilizing a microscope.
