Ground Training Supervisor
Location: Dayton, OH

Reports to: Manager of Ground Training
Summary/Objective: The Ground Training Supervisor is responsible for supporting PSA Airlines Ground Instructors located at DAY, CLT and CVG and also providing new hire training as a Ground Instructor.

Serve as a Ground Instructor – providing training to NH pilots
Mentor new instructors and be a resource regarding standardization questions
Assist the Manager of Ground Training with student progress tracking, developing Extra training plans as required
Observe classes and training sessions to ensure standardization
Coach Ground Instructors when standardization lapses are observed
Assist with planning and efficient scheduling of all Ground Instruction activities.
Assist in the selection, hiring, and performance evaluation of Ground Instructors.
Responsible for maintaining standardization with PSA’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Work with the Development Team as required to help update and implement courseware
Assist with establishing new curriculum as required to meet the changing training needs of PSA.
Ensure all ground training meets regulatory compliance standards and is properly documented in accordance with the PSA Training Manual.
Provide point of communication for students before and during Ground Training.
Effectively and positively resolve issues related to hotel, travel, dress code, behavior, etc.
Monitor student progress and intervene with additional training or counseling when needed.
Assist in maintaining operational effectiveness of IPTs, FTDs, iPads, and VSIM.
Responsible for issuance and accounting of company issued items.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.
Required Education and Experience: Must meet the qualifications of Captain or First Officer, must be able to successfully complete PSA’s training program for Captain or First Officer.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Ability to speak/read/write in English. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs and in producing professional deliverables.

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position that may require occasional extended periods of time as necessary to support airline operations.
Travel: Occasional travel may be expected for this position.
