Job Summary

The Coordinator, Custodial and Grounds is a key member of the Adare Maintenance Team in Vandalia, Ohio, will oversee facility upkeep with regards to parts management, maintenance, cleaning, hazardous waste storage and disposal and grounds.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:

  • Interact with vendors, internal departments, and internal customers.

  • Work as independent service unit, focusing on improvements through efficiency and innovation.

  • Demonstrate an ability to serve as a sole contributor and work through others to perform the duties traditional to the following roles:

  • Point of contact for cleaning and janitorial management, and any other related task associated with keeping the facility in excellent condition.

  • Maintain the site recycling program in a way that is beneficial to the company.

  • Involved in the management and replacement of all waste vessels.

  • Supervise contract facility cleaning crew; perform cleaning inspections aid in monitoring crew training; oversee the schedule for cleaning and disinfecting the building.

  • Maintain GMP garment supply stock throughout the plant.

  • Oversee contract facility grounds crew.

  • Oversee inspection operations by Terminix.

  • Support hazardous production and lab waste storage and disposal coordination activities with EHS Director.

  • Support facility in regards to drinking water by managing associated vendors.

  • Completes assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.

  • Upholds all Company policies, including but not limited to, the Adare Code of Conduct and the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy.

  • Works in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers and the public.

  • Supports the Adare vision and mission and exemplifies Adare values.

  • Works effectively under deadlines.

  • Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.

  • 3-5 years facility management experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with contract management preferred.

  • Experience with computerized maintenance systems is recommended.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, or dairy industry is preferred.

  • Knowledge of chemicals and hazardous materials is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications.

  • Written and oral communication skills are required.

  • Interpersonal skills are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.

Occasionally move items or equipment weighing up to 100 pounds – potential to handle heavier materials with mechanical assistance.

Occasionally required to climb ladders and/or steps to reach equipment.

Reading precision measuring equipment, machine dials, gages, and thermometers; must be able to observe fine details utilizing a microscope.
