SIGMADESIGN has collaborated with a wind and solar electronic repair company seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join their facility in Vancouver, WA. This company provides comprehensive repair services for a wide range of electronic components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality for the wind and solar industry.

What is offered:

  • 3% commission on new business, paid quarterly with a $3M annual target.

  • Health Insurance 70%/30% (employer/employee)

  • Dental and Vision: 100% (employer Contribution)

  • Simple IRA (company matches up to 3% contribution)

  • Flex PTO: First year 17 days; Second year 22 days.

  • Salary: $125,000.00- $140,000.00/year DOE

    Primary Function:

    The Technical Sales and Business Development Representative candidate is to contribute to the company’s sales objectives, including expansion into new markets. The responsibilities include building long-term customer relationships and identifying and soliciting new business opportunities within the US and Canada geographic markets. *Must have experience with technical sales

    Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

  • Secure current book of business by maintaining and strengthening established customer relationships.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.

  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.

  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.

  • Provide timely and effective solutions that meet customer needs.

    Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

  • Three or more years of industrial electronics sales, required

  • Strong sales background and a significant technical or industrial customer communications track record required.

  • Displays high standards of ethical conduct. Exhibits honesty and integrity.

  • Experience drafting and processing a customer request for a proposal (RFP).

  • Experience negotiating terms of a master services agreement (MSA).

  • Able to travel up to nine weeklong trips.

  • Experience in the Wind Energy industry is a big plus.

  • Experience in industries with high utilization of circuit boards (e.g., robotics, automation, machine vision).

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electronics engineering.

  • Experience identifying new business opportunities and initiating customer contact, including “cold calling."

    Work Environment:

    OFFICE: Standard office environment with normal office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers.
