Join our team as a Supervising Teacher, and support EOCF's mission by planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate early childhood education experience for children.

This position supervises classroom staff. During a typical day in the life, you will find yourself teaching in the classroom as well as coaching the staff you teach with, and overseeing the day to day center oversight which may include licensing compliance activities, data entry, reporting and attendance; working directly with families to coordinate services and care of their child; and a variety of other duties. 40 hours per week, 2000 hours per year. Hourly rate- $25.34

    Required Education and Experience

    Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Two years of consistent paid experience teaching groups of children 3 to 5 years of age in an early childhood setting. Six months of consistent paid supervisor experience is required.

  • Bi-lingual highly desired.

    Knowledge of

    Technological proficiency

    Washington State Licensing requirements.

    Principles of child development and Early Childhood Curriculum planning.

    Principles of effective supervision.

    Current best practices in early childhood development and education.

    Ability to

    Observe and assess children and set individualized goals.

    Prepare the classroom environment to meet the educational needs of each child.

    Track each child's progress and incorporate the information into the curriculum.

    Work cooperatively with staff members and clients from diverse cultural, socio-economic and educational backgrounds.

    Maintain confidentiality of records and information.

    Use the team approach to resolving problems or conflicts.

    Demonstrate professional and effective written and verbal communication skills; receive information and feedback in an understanding manner; use good judgment.

    Attend appropriate staff meetings and out-of-town training sessions as assigned.

    Prepare and manage records, reports and other documents as required.
