Nucor Corporation Sales Estimator I in Vancouver, Washington

Basic Job Functions:

Vulcraft-Utah is seeking a qualified candidate for a Sales Estimator to support our Commercial Strategy in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Taking Care of our Customers by completing quality, timely joist estimates from plans and specifications
  • Organizing project documents and coordinating project requirements with customers, specifiers, contractors, and teammates
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive project quotes from estimates that will differentiate Vulcraft and win projects
  • Assist the post-sale team in delivering a successful project outcome through service and coordination
  • Maintain the highest standards of service through professional, informative, and responsive communications (written and verbal) with our internal and external customers
  • Be willing and able to work more than 40 hours per week
  • Be willing and able to travel

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Estimating or detailing experience
  • Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings, project specifications, along with a general understanding of the construction process
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products

Preferences:

  • Prior joist estimating or detailing experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, Tekla, Bluebeam and/or other construction estimating software
