Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos in Washington State. Managed Care Regional Coordinator – Posting #25771

Hourly Rate: $27.88 to $31.49

Position Summary:

Full-time Managed Care Regional Coordinator position available in Vancouver, WA. The Regional Coordinator’s responsibility is to ensure the accessibility and quality of service provided at Managed Care entry points at Sea Mar service locations that provide consumer assistance in accessing public benefits and health coverage. 

The Regional Coordinator is responsible for providing all Managed Care staff, training, technical assistance and support in assisting eligible consumers in accessing public services.  Is responsible for maintaining quality through periodic staff competency testing and site audits to ensure compliance with corporate and departmental policies, standards and maintain efficiencies in reaching departmental goals.

The Regional Coordinator assists in establishing and maintaining referral points linking schools, faith-based social service programs/agencies and private business community to Sea Mar service sites. He or She will have a clear understanding of both marketing and selling principals and how to implement their use. Will serve as an advisor to clinic managers on public program policy and process changes as well as staff performance audits. They assist the Managed Care Director in the development and implementation of productivity and strategic marketing plans, tools, and evaluation processes to meet department goals and objectives.

The Regional Coordinator is responsible for tracking and preparing reports to meet federal and state contract and reporting requirements. He or She must be able to understand policy, procedure and eligibility changes as reported in legislative bill text, Washington Administrative Code, and all other state publications and effectively communicate this to relevant Sea Mar staff. 

Education and/or Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree either in health sciences, marketing, education or business is required with at least two years of experience in a managed care or heath care related environment.

  • Must have experience working with multicultural communities including both public and private sector organizations and/or businesses.

  • Two additional years of direct managed care experience may substitute for some formal education.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have an initial TB test at hire and an annual retest.

  • Must receive a satisfactory background check from the Washington State Patrol.

  • Must maintain a valid Washington Driver's license and automobile liability insurance coverage.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Slavic) preferred.
