Pixieset Senior Software Developer, Front End in Vancouver, British Columbia

Opportunity Snapshot

We're hiring a Senior Software Developer, Front End to create intuitive and visually stunning web applications for over 1 million photographers and creative professionals worldwide. Pixieset is the market leader in software for photography businesses, and as we expand our product suite, we're looking to scale our Engineering team to drive the next phase of our growth. You will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in front-end development while working collaboratively with a talented team. Your high level of attention to detail, ability to implement pixel-perfect designs, and experience owning a product from concept to delivery will be key to success.

Your Impact

  • Design, develop and implement product features in Vue.js, React, Javascript, HTML, and CSS

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

  • Implement pixel-perfect web UI for both mobile and desktop devices according to design

  • Build beautiful user-centered experiences and ensure a consistent user experience across various browsers, devices, and operating systems

  • Produce robust and reusable code and resolve issues

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are met

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and estimate project timelines

  • Provide mentorship to more junior developers, participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

  • Research and integrate new technologies to drive our front-end development forward

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Front End Developer

  • 2+ years of experience with Vue.js

  • Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript ES6

  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility, web accessibility, validation and responsive web development

  • Experience in following wireframes, mockups, etc.

  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, single-page applications, and AJAX

  • Experience with source control and issue tracking like Git, Atlassian JIRA

  • Strives for pixel-perfect, extremely detail-oriented, takes great pride in achieving excellence, strong problem solving skills, and demonstrates a sense of ownership

  • Experience with UX/UI, PHP and its frameworks, and design tools such as Figma is a bonus

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $107,350 - $144,900 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
