The senior business analyst - BTO assumes a critical role in the efficient planning and execution of project deliverables by spearheading senior level, complex and multifaceted business analysis activities for system implementation, transformative or optimization initiatives. Employing comprehensive business analysis, proficient requirements management, and user acceptance and adoption techniques, the senior business analyst champions the business perspective throughout the project lifecycle. Ensuring the harmonization of business objectives, processes, system solutions, and data management practices, the incumbent demonstrates expertise in managing client expectations, skillfully eliciting needs and knowledge, analyzing, specifying, and validating requirements and constraints. The senior business analyst furthers project management by facilitating effective collaboration across diverse teams, advising the project manager with substantiated analysis in proactively addressing challenges and identifying project risks. This position leads and delivers analysis endeavors on intricate projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of business analysis practice and to mentoring fellow business analysts.
What you do:
Requirements Management
Develop detailed artifacts and specificationsthat cover scoping, options, estimates, functional requirements, and useracceptance testing for complex initiatives, guaranteeing alignment withbusiness needs
Engage with stakeholders at all levels toelicit requirements, assess feasibility, and conduct scenario assessments forselection and design decisions, fostering inclusive and informed planningprocesses
Select, adopt, and adapt the most suitablerequirements elicitation and testing methods, tools, and techniques to ensurerigorous analysis and accurate results
Lead collection, analysis, and cleanup ofdata for mapping and migration, ensuring data integrity and usability forbusiness operations
Play a key role in solution design from afunctional perspective, ensuring solutions meet business requirements andcontribute to the selection process
Project Management
Lead business analysis-relatedproblem-solving efforts, providing substantiated recommendations withcomprehensive analysis, indicators, artifacts, and solutions to the projectmanager in addressing project challenges
Identify potential risks through detailedanalysis, aiding in the development of mitigation strategies with the project manager
Produce user guides and training materials tofacilitate user adoption and improve customer service, tailored for variousaudiences
Deliver findings and analysis in clear,concise, and adaptable formats for all stakeholders, utilizing written, visual,and verbal communication methods
Establish clear requirements baselines withprioritization and ensure strict adherence to change control procedures,documenting and communicating any requirement changes to minimize impact onproject progress and objectives
Engage in project closure and lessons-learnedactivities to validate solutions with the business stakeholders, ensuringdelivery aligns with business needs and identifying opportunities forcontinuous improvement
What youbring:
Bachelor's Degree in an acceptable field ofstudy, preferably in computer science, management information systems orbusiness administration
Formal education and certification such asthe Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent, highlypreferred
Minimum five (5) years of direct, recent, andprogressive demonstrable experience in business analysis, showcasing a proventrack record of requirements elicitation and management
Demonstrated experience in successfullydelivering business analysis for a minimum of 5 full lifecycle systemsimplementation projects. Proficient knowledge of business analysis per IIBABABOK Guide. knowledge with Project Management according to PMBOK standards
Must have prior experience in requirementsmanagement for complex systems implementation projects, preferably commercially-off-the-shelfsolutions (COTS). Experience in implementing COTS solutions for enterprisefunctions such as HR, contract management, contract stakeholder engagement and realestate management using both predictive (plan-driven) and adaptive(iterative/agile) approaches
Experience and proficient in various methodsfor business process analysis, including creating models, writing test plansand test cases, writing functional requirement specifications supported byvarious methods such as user stories, system stories, wireframes, entityrelationship diagrams (ERD), and system context diagrams
Thorough understanding of Process Improvementmethodologies such as Agile, Six Sigma, BPMN, and RUP
Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel,Jira, ServiceNow, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and diagraming applications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonalcommunication skills. Ability to communicate technically and non-technically todiverse audience
Ability to create impactful presentations andproject artifacts
Talent for translating detailed informationinto visual summaries for presentations and comprehensive project artifacts
Effectively applies techniques of analysis asa key strength, involving the selection and use of appropriate analytical andvisual models at Enterprise, Business, Software, and Information levels
