Key accountabilities:

  • Provides support to the Sr Manager Real Estate Development, Design & Construction and makes recommendations on all aspects of the Corporate Real Estate Projects within their region. Looking to become as efficient as possible while balancing cost and the client’s need;

  • Successful delivery of the planning, design, construction, relocation and/or downsizing and/or closure of our premises. Staying on time and on budget;

  • Enables a quality-of-service delivery focus. Establishes high standards for the delivery of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management projects and services;

  • Recommends processes that improve team efficiency;

  • Identify and assess specific program/project issues and formulate solutions and recommendations for final decision making. Apply a continuous improvement focus with a national mindset;

  • In collaboration with the Change Management Lead, lead the change management to ensure the program/project realizes the expected impact/outcome;

  • Manages, develops, and mentors the Regional Real Estate Project team to build strong, service delivery;

  • Builds strong relationships with staff and leadership, at the local, regional, and national level,

  • Identifies and leads opportunities to enhance employee productivity and operational processes, tools, and services;

  • Provides recommendations on established policies/procedures to solve moderately complex matters within Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management;

  • Fosters sustainable minded practices towards implementation of energy reduction measures;

  • Advises on the recruitment of Corporate Real Estate Projects staff, in collaboration with the People & Culture team;

  • Enables consistency in execution across employees and holds employees accountable to established policies;

  • Review regional project budgets and timelines. Provide recommendations to meet and or improve financial performance and delivery;

  • Manage corrective measures resulting from audits/assessments to ensure compliance with HSE obligations and policies;

  • Work closely with Procurement to manage all Corporate Real Estate Projects related suppliers including all paperwork to ensure compliance with company policies;

  • Work closely with Finance to manage all Corporate Real Estate Projects related accounting treatments and Budget tracking to ensure compliance with company policies;

  • Work closely with other Corporate Services Teams (ie: HSE, Legal, Marketing, etc..) to manage all Corporate Real Estate Projects related tasks to ensure compliance with company policies;

  • Liaise with and collaborate with other Regional Project Implementation Managers to ensure consistency of service delivery nationally.

Key role experiences, skills, and qualifications:

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Engineering/Management diploma (or equivalent);

  • Min 10+ years’ experience working with a Construction, Design, or Project Management Firm;

  • Understanding of construction processes and terminology;

  • Experience in drafting budgets, cash flows, and schedules;

  • Ability to review drawings, budgets and Contractor quotations;

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office;

  • Ability to travel;

  • Brings continuous improvement mindset;

  • Display initiative and professionalism by challenging your skills and abilities to ensure your development is kept abreast of changing business needs;

  • Be flexible in your work by adjusting to multiple demands / shifting priorities;

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $84 200 - $120 000
