What you will be doing:

  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way

  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods

  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage

  • Follow thoroughly the sequence of service from the in-room dining department. 

  • Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our working areas are maintained at all times.

  • Provide timely, personalized, friendly, polite, and efficient food and beverage service to our hotel guests in their guestrooms or any other area of the hotel as directed.

  • Uphold the highest internal and external customer service standards by demonstrating Fairmont Service Essentials and Forbes standards and applying 5 Diamond Service at all times.

     

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Serving It Right Certificate

     

Physical aspects of position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift

  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs

  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
