1 Press Technician Department: Press Room Reports To: Shift Supervisor Shift: 2nd (2:30pm-10:30pm) Hourly Rate: $20.27 Shift Premium: $1.00 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. All employees are required to actively support and follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly. Primary Duties include: Blank and part positioning on dies and transfers Manual lifting and bending to load, process and unload parts Inspect parts as processed and record results Make quality judgments as to defects and acceptability. Notify Supervisor, Die Repair and/or Quality of defects Troubleshoot through Panel Mate and visual Clean, clear and unjam parts De-Stacker setup and troubleshooting Understand Process Ownership and the impact of "I" Proper labeling Pin Pallet Setup and troubleshooting Follow work instructions Work with tagging system and understand paperwork flow Data entry information and update through Tag Tracking Assist Team Members in all functions as required Keep work area neat and clean at all times Hourly Part Checks on gages and hourly racks Train new technicians as assigned Meet production standards with quality parts and performance Complete Production Status Boards Subject to the requirements established to meet TS 16949 Work with Die Repair and Automation Techs to troubleshoot. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalency Skills and Abilities Ability to operate mobile equipment Ability to perform functions and to inspect and document to customer specifications and standards Ability to get along well with fellow employees Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk continuously, bend, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
