1 Summary of Responsibilities/Duties: Responsible for the back up to the Assembly I and the overall shift coordination of the Weld Cell activities to ensure that the correct Weld Cell operation. schedules, procedures, actions and documentation occur for the Qualifications (Education, Work Experience, Specialized Skill, Knowledge): High School Diploma or equivalency Ability to get along well with fellow employees Strong communication and prioritization skills Ability to perform functions and to inspect and document to customer specifications and standards Ability to operate mobile equipment Primary Responsibilities/Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operate specific weld cell equipment Manual lifting and bending to load, process and unload parts Inspect parts as processed and record results Make quality judgments as to defects and acceptability. Make adjustments to locating, welding, clamping, punching and other associated operations Clean, clear and unjam parts Operate Control Panels Set up and adjust vacuum decay systems Proper labeling (tag tracking) Adjust and correct programmable weld/assembly production equipment Follow work instructions Work with production system and understand paperwork flow (MPCS) Changeover all associated fixtures, tooling and feeds Set and adjust weld parameters using medar control Keep work area neat and clean at all times Change weld tips, guns and other perishable components Troubleshoot robotics, testing units, support presses, air tools, welding feed bowls/thread runners and material handling systems Change damaged or worn shunts Stock floor items Follow escalation protocol Train new assembly technicians as assigned Meet production standards Complete Production Status Boards / Daily report out Subject to the requirements established to meet TS 16949 Lockout/Tagout Other duties as assigned.
