Job DescriptionOverviewPrefered location - Chicago.ResponsibilitiesThe PepsiCo Life Sciences Engagement Team, composed of both the Gatorade Sports Science Institute and Health and Nutrition Sciences, is responsible for strategic coordination and execution of Life Science related internal and external science communication programs.This Scientist role will support the engagement program for the Gatorade Sports Science Institute, focused on translating the science of sports nutrition for academic and practitioner audiences.Key Accountabilities:* Support the creation of new educational content* Responsible for maintaining key programs aimed at academic audiences, GSSI Professors and GSSI University.* Operational support of the Continuing Education program for sports health practitioners.* Support the execution of the Life Sciences/GSSI social media presence, specifically content review.* Help execute internal education programming* Support the coordination, planning and execution of external scientific conferences for sports health professionals.* Support the GSSI elite athlete service testing program by executing sweat testing as needed.* Support the women’s and industrial athlete programs as neededCompensation and Benefits:* The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,300 - $111,000 based on a full-time schedule.* Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.* Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 5% of annual salary paid out annually.* Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.Qualifications* Master’s degree in nutrition or related discipline* Background in sport nutrition* Experience working with elite athletes preferred* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.* Creative ability to translate complex scientific information to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience creating translation materials (e.g., infographics, videos, GIFs, etc.) highly desirable. * Strong ability to work and communicate effectively in cross functional teams.
