The Education Department seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track instructor position to teach courses in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. The position requires 15 contact hours plus a minimum of five office hours per week. In addition, the instructor is responsible for developing and updating courses, curricula, and assessment methods; providing academic and career advisement to students; and supervising student internships. The instructor is expected to participate in department, school and college-wide committees, initiatives and events as well as professional development activities, and to keep abreast of trends in Education on all levels.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : A minimum of a Master's degree in Education (Early Childhood and/or Childhood) and one (1) year college level teaching experience required. All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years of classroom teaching experience and Special Education certification strongly preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary for this position is $66,144. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $77,639.
