Arvato Bertelsmann Senior .Net Developer & Compliance Engineer in Valencia, California

We are seeking a Senior-level Software Engineer with security and network/server knowledge. This position’s primary focus will be software development in C# .Net for our suite of user-facing applications, with attention towards security compliance. As such, there will be partnering with our security compliance team and the server/network infrastructure teams. The primary responsibilities revolve around .Net application development, working closely with our Oracle PL/SQL development team where all our core logic resides. Our applications need to meet all current security best practices. Our team of Oracle PL/SQL developers creates the business rules in Oracle so our .Net developers focus on GUI design and coding. The end results are web and thick-client applications that look professional, are responsive and easy to change/enhance.

Your Tasks

  • Architect and build professional-grade web front-end applications for our internal and external clients using C# Net.

  • Maintain relationships with security and audit teams to ensure compliance with all regulations to keep applications working as network and server changes are applied for security compliance.

  • Take on the role of technical project team lead on key C# .Net applications.

  • Provide support and assistance to our development team and our business teams.

Your Profile

  • Experience building professional-level applications with C# .Net Framework and ASP.Net frameworks, with a focus on frameworks such as MVC and Razor.

  • Skills in JavaScript-based frameworks such as jQuery and Bootstrap.

  • Significant experience in hand-coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a professional work environment.

  • Solid understanding of Web and server infrastructure to diagnose problems related to Microsoft IIS and Windows Server configurations.

  • Ability to find technical solutions to difficult challenges through R&D.

  • Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Strong team player: must be able to work well in a team environment.

  • Ability to juggle several tasks at the same time.

  • In-depth knowledge of common web authentication and security concepts and their implementations (e.g. OAuth 2.0 authentication).

  • BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience developing web front-end applications.

  • Candidates will be tested for technical ability.

  • Firm understanding of security and audit standards such ISO 27001 and OWASP.

  • C# .Net Framework 4.6+ (ASP.Net / .Net Core).

  • Visual Studio.

  • Responsive web design.

  • JavaScript and its popular frameworks such as jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX.

  • SQL-based RDBMS concepts, preferably Oracle.

  • Creative Suite or Creative Cloud Products (such as Photoshop).

  • Configuring and using Microsoft IIS.

  • Working knowledge of API integrations such as RESTful API or WCF.

  • Experience with web development in accordance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

  • Experience using Quest TOAD for Oracle.

  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures.

  • Knowledge of Hyper V, Servers, and Networks.
