Summary This position will be assigned to the Eagles Rest RV Park in Valdez, AK. The primary purpose of this position is to perform and/or assist other recreation assistants or the Outdoor Recreation manager in the operation and maintenance of the Eagles Rest RV Park. Responsibilities Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of recreational facilities. Establishes schedules of events as well as the rules and regulations to be observed. Types of duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Tests boating equipment for safe operation; demonstrates safety and conservation techniques for campsites and water area; demonstrates equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities such as camping, swimming, and boating; sets up and takes down campsite at the beginning and end of the season, inspects outdoor recreation facilities and equipment for security and general conditions; and schedules campsites, cabins, boats, and other outdoor recreation equipment and areas for use, with responsibility for seeing that they are vacated or returned in good order. Performs inventory and cash handling duties in accordance with established cash handling and accountability procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Ability and skill in dealing with the public. Must have cash handling experience. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
