Job Description

Numerator is currently looking for a Staff Accountant in India to join the Finance Team, reporting to the Senior Accountant, who is located in Chicago, IL, USA. This position will offer opportunities to proactively identify areas for improvement and feel empowered to execute on these areas. The position will work closely with other members in the Finance and cross-functionally with commercial to ensure contracts are accounted for appropriately using revenue recognition rules. You must love to problem-solve accounting and seek to understand the “why.”

What You Get to Do:

  • Responsible for recognition of revenue, deferred revenue, and other accounting areas under USGAAP as needed.

  • Complete journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and ensure that all balances have a substantiated account rec balance.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and execute upon these improvements.

  • Assist with the month-end close process.

Skills & Requirements

  • Studies in accounting or finance and 3+ year of experience in revenue accounting

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions)

  • Self-motivated, creative, and innovative approach to problem-solving

  • Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail

  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Blackline, and Salesforce is a plus

Shift Timings: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
