Join Danfoss Drives Medium Voltage R&D team as an FPGA Engineer, contributing to product design, maintenance, and exploration of new technologies.
Job Responsibilities
As our new FPGA Engineer your responsibilities are:
Design digital logic for FPGA for the control of high-power electronics and provide analysis for new product development.
Participate in development and testing operations.
Prepare designs for high power electronics, specifications, analysis and recommendations for development of new products.
Maintain records pertinent to each project in the form of time, project and work tracking reports, documentation, design journals, sketches, drawings, etc.
Background & Skills
To be succesful in this position you should have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in VHDL and C, and C++ programming.
Strong communication skills and ability to interpret engineering drawings and concepts.
Familiarity with digital hardware/firmware design and adherence to software processes.
Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, RTL level VHDL design, and Python scripting preferred.
Knowledge of Control System Engineering, Digital Signal Processing, and Embedded Software Design desirable.
Variable frequency drive experience preferred.
Basics of processor systems (e.g., Zynq PS, RiscV, Cortex-M)
Experience and/or knowledge of real-time software design, software –hardware interaction with real time operating systems, multithreading, and event driven architectures
