Job Description

Join the Medium Voltage R&D team as a Controls Engineer, Power Electronics, contributing to product design, maintenance, and exploring new technologies.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Controls Engineer your responsibilities are:

  • Research and design converter and grid related control algorithms.

  • Implement control algorithms using C/C++ and Simulink.

  • Identify and resolve complex control system issues through effective debugging and troubleshooting, working closely with the team to overcome challenges.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of control system designs, specifications, and development processes.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices in control engineering.

Background & Skills

To be successful in this position you should have:

  • Master of Science or PhD in power electronics or related field.

  • Experience in motor or grid control development.

  • Strong proficiency in control theory and signal processing.

  • Extensive experience with MATLAB/Simulink.

  • Solid knowledge of converter or supply grid modeling and modulation schemes.

  • Proficiency in programming language such as C, C++, and python for test environment.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • Understanding of various AC drive and converter topologies and related technologies.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on producing high-quality documentation and designs.
