Resource Center for Independent Living Reimbursement Specialist Supervisor in Utica, New York

Annual Exempt Salary: $58,458.40

Job Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Self-Direction Reimbursement Specialists.

  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of reimbursements.

  • Communicate with staff, participants, families, and brokers for necessary clarification when reviewing reimbursements.

  • Provide resolution for disputed invoices.

  • Provide Quality Review/Training for staff as needed.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a human service or finance field is preferred.

  • Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Work Experience Requirements: A minimum of five years working in the human services field. Education may be considered in lieu of this requirement. A minimum of three years supervisory experience is required.

  • Knowledge: OPWDD Policies and Procedures; Independent Living Philosophy and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Financial acumen. Mathematical, Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.

  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent customer service. Interpersonal, computer and organization skills. Ability to make decisions independently. Problem solving. Ability to work with diverse individuals. Manage uncomfortable situations.

  • 37.5 hour work week, 7.5 hour work day, flexible work schedule menu to include the ability to work: a four-day work week, four-day work week, every other week, or a typical five-day work schedule
