Job Summary

Prepares all food required for residents, cafeteria, and special functions as directed. Maintains a high level of sanitation through “clean as you go” procedures and proper food handling procedures to ensure that all food items are produced in the quantity called for and to reach the service area in a timely fashion.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares items per recipes and meal counts. Prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided. Follows basic recipes and / or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking.

  • Tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.

  • Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.

  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.

Education/Experience Requirements

Preferred:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
