SAIC Senior Field Engineer in Utah

Description

SAIC is currently seeking multiple Field Service Engineers (FSE) to support the Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT) located onsite at Holsworthy Barracks, Australia.

This team is responsible for delivering high-level technical support, system integration, and field service engineering for the BAT Program. The position involves collaborating with military and civilian personnel to ensure the seamless operation, and maintenance of the BAT.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position will provide technical support services in support of maintaining and sustaining fielded BATs, equipment and software at the identified locations

  • Assist in the emplacement and initialization of the BAT

  • Advise customers on the capabilities and limitations of the BAT

  • Troubleshoot BAT hardware, software, and networks

  • Provide feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user feedback

  • Perform operator and maintainer tasks on equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software

  • Conduct training when needed

  • Support Program Help Desk as required

  • Conduct scheduled equipment inventories

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree and five (5) experience; Additional six (6) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree or certified Aviation Simulation Technician level III or IV.

Required Clearance:

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with tactical networks and troubleshooting.

  • In field operator training.

  • Troubleshooting of computer systems and networks.

  • Excellent oral and written communications.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and efficiently with short term deadlines.

Desired Certifications:

  • Black Hawk avionics experience.

  • Aviation Simulation Technician level III or IV in lieu of education/ experience requirements.
